Fractional CFO
I am James Sivco -your next fractional CFO.
For the last 30+ years I have made my living taking apart financial statements and reassembling them in a way that removes blind spots and charts a course forward.
I spent a decade in the credit trenches including running a US high yield bond mutual fund and a distressed-debt hedge fund.
Before that, I was an investment banker at JP Morgan Chase and a commercial lender at several banks. Across those roles, I’ve been on deal teams for more than $11 billion of financings —senior debt, mezz, second lien, unitranche, recaps, and PE-backed deals. I have also been on the deal team for over a dozen acquisitions -both as buyer and seller.
Today, I work as a fractional or interim CFO for small and growing companies —typically $10 million to $50 million of revenue.. Owners, boards, and sponsors bring me in when they are facing refinancing pressures, margin erosion, succession gaps, add-on integrations, turnarounds, or ownership transitions.
I step in and reorganize financial reporting to remove blind spots and to actually become a useable strategic decision-making tool.
I create bank and investor presentations that get term sheets, slice and dice your regular reporting to find value leaks, and I can lead any number of bottom-line projects for your company.
If your firm needs a battle-tested set of eyes on the numbers and someone who can help you grow, let’s talk. You can book a meeting from this page.
